Professional path and focus

Tomáš's professional journey began in 1993 when, as manager of the office of JUDr. Jarmila Traplová, founder of the law and patent office, he helped transform the traditional legal environment into a modern practice. He was at the birth of the firm's initial growth, and was at the forefront of introducing the first innovative steps in human resource management, IT technologies and processes. His contribution in the development of the first information system for trademark and patent management was crucial. Subsequently, in 1996, Tomas joined the T-Mobile Group where, as Executive Director of Customer Care and Sales, he played a key role in improving the satisfaction of more than 6 million customers. At the same time, Tomas was a member of the Customer Service and Sales Management Board of T-Mobile International in Bonn. Under his leadership, processes were extensively automated and streamlined, laying the foundation for his further career progression. After leaving T-Mobile, he devoted himself to the management and development of his own companies, Contacc SE, Contacc Services s.r.o. and Advantisse s.r.o., where he deepened his experience in customer care and automation. His ability to perceive and respond to market needs has become well known, especially in the successful sale of the Contacc SE plant. After 27 years, Tomáš returned to THK Legal in January 2023 with a mission to combine more than 30 years of successful law and patent history with state-of-the-art processes, technology and management practices to deliver an exceptional client experience and to confirm THK Legal's position as a leading IP partner not only in the Czech Republic, but also in other CEE countries and around the world.

Education and Language skills

Tomáš graduated in electronic computers from the Czech Technical University (Ing. degree) and in banking and human resources management from the University of Economics (Ing. degree). He speaks fluent English in addition to Czech.
